Bayern Munich thrash Werder Bremen 6-0 to open Bundesliga season
Bayern Munich came into this game looking to get their season off on the right foot. And boy did they ever as they eviscerated a helpless Werder Bremen side, 60, behind the impressive teamwork of Robert Lewandowski and Thomas Müller.
Bayern for their part decided this game was simply beneath their exertion level and put it away extremely fast early. A poor clearance from Bremen left Xabi Alonso all alone 30 yards out and he had an egregious amount of time to control a bouncing ball
