Bayern Munich thrash Werder Bremen 6-0 to open Bundesliga season

Bayern Munich came into this game looking to get their season off on the right foot. And boy did they ever as they eviscerate­d a helpless Werder Bremen side, 60, behind the impressive teamwork of Robert Lewandowsk­i and Thomas Müller.

Bayern for their part decided this game was simply beneath their exertion level and put it away extremely fast early. A poor clearance from Bremen left Xabi Alonso all alone 30 yards out and he had an egregious amount of time to control a bouncing ball
