Melita bounce back in second half

Melita and Zebbug shared four goals in an exciting 2-2 draw with Melita bouncing back in the second half to cancel the first half half two-goal deficit.

Zebbug had a dream start when after barely sixty seconds they forged ahead when Charles Ikenna Kean scored after an irresistible run. Two minutes later Melita hit back with an Ivan Tufegdzic header that was well saved by Azzopardi.

On 36 minutes Melita went close again with a Borg Olivier header following a Tufegdzic cross from the right, with the ball well saved by the alert Azzopardi. Four minutes from the break Zebbug doubled the score when Pace passed towards Charles Ikenna Kean who scored his second goal of the match with a well taken shot on the turn.

Melita were the better team in the second half and reduced the arrears on the hour when Alan Borg Olivier was floored by mandic and from the penalty spot Ivan Tufegdzic made no mistake. Four minutes later Melita drew level when a Kurt Pace cross was met by Alan Borg Olivier who headed beautifully home.
