A positive reaction gives Italy a point against Spain

A penalty by Daniele De Rossi ten minutes from time gave Italy an important 1-1 draw against Spain. Spain were determined ro recover their exit against the Italians in the European Championsh­ips and dominated the play in the first half. They even took the lead on the 55th when Vitolo took advantage of an indecision by Buffon and scored in an empty net. Italy made a good reaction after the goal, they started to increase their rhythm and equalised on the 82nd minute as Eder was fouled by Sergio Ramos with German referee Felix Brych consulting the assistant referee before giving the penalty. Daniele De Rossi beat De Gea with a low shot. Albania are the only team from the three groups that are currently with maximum points as they beat Liechtenst­ein 2-0. An own-goal byPeter Jehle put Giovanni De Biasi’s in front an Bekim Balaj doubled on the 71st minute. After the defeat against Italy, Israel won their first group game with a 2-1 win against Macedonia. Tommer Hemed opened the score on the 25th minute and Tal Ben Chaim doubled before the break. Palermo striker Ilija Nestorovsk­i put Macedonia back in the game after an hour but wasn’t enough to avoid defeat. After finishing draw in their opening match, Croatia won their first match 6-0 against Kosovo away from home. The protagonis­t for the Croatian team was Juventus striker Mario Mandzukic who scored a hattrick till the 35 minute. Matej Mitrovic made them four on the 68th minute, Ivan Perisic added another goal on the 85th minute, and Nikola Kalinic closed the game with the sixth goal on the 90th minute. Ukraine are still searching for their first victory as threw awaya two goal lead. Andriy Shevchenko’s team fired a quick double in the middle of the first half as they scored two goals in three minutes by Andriy Yarmolenko and Artem Kravets. But Ozan Tufan redcued the gap just before the break to keep his team in the game. Hakan Calhanoglu equalised on the 81st minute. Two goals in the stoppage time gave Iceland a dramatic win as they beat Finland 3-2. Teemu Pukki opened the score for Finland on the 21st minute but Kari Arnason equalised on the 37th minute, until Robin Lod regained the lead two minutes later.
