EC wins top UK Customer Experience Award

-

Maltese-owned EC English Language Centres recently claimed another industry achievement, this time winning silver at the UK Customer Experience Awards 2016 (UKCXA) in London.

EC was the only English language school to make the shortlist for this prestigious award, and went on to win silver in its category, Experience and Design Improvement. The international language school’s ‘Orange Carpet Experience’ was presented alongside other strong contenders such as Barclays, Sainsburys and Scottish Water. Commenting on the award, CEO Mike Xuereb said: It’s incredible to see all the team’s hard work recognised through this coveted award. The Orange Carpet Experience is the product of months of organisation and planning, years of experience in the industry, and a strong commitment to provide our students with the quality service they deserve. A big ‘well done’ to the Operations team and to the EC family around the world.

EC’s Chief Operations Officer, Jan Matthews, added: “The Orange Carpet Experience is a framework that ensures each one of our students enjoys a personalised journey during their time at EC. With our win at the UK CXA awards, I am delighted to see that everyone’s hard work and dedication has been rewarded in this way.”

The pioneering initiative exclusive to EC, was created with the aim of ensuring that every student feels at home from day one of their language-learning journey. EC’s Orange Carpet Experience comprises eight key points which work towards providing a positive and memorable stay; before leaving their home country, for instance, students can log on to EC Online, a unique tool which allows learners to access resources, track progress, and set personalised academic goals.

When students arrive at their chosen destination, they receive a warm welcome from their host family or EC representative, all of whom are fully-briefed and prepared to answer any questions. Once students have settled into their accommodation, they enjoy the perfect opportunity to break the ice and socialise through a number of Sunday activities, allowing learners to have a smoother first day of class. As their time at EC draws to a close, students get the chance to discuss their progress and what they have planned for the future on a one-to-one basis.

The award is a welcome addition to EC’s recent string of wins, including ‘Best Chain School 2016’ at the Study Travel Star Awards and ‘Best English Language School – Malta’ and ‘Best Chain School’ at the UED Agency Awards of Turkey, 2016.
