Careers Convention at the Summit of iGaming Malta (SiGMA)

-

The Summit of iGaming Malta has created a space at this year’s edition dedicated to careers within the iGaming industry. The Careers Convention is a direct result of the growing need to employ the best talent in the field. It will take place on day two of the summit and will be open to graduates and IT developers with a keen interest in a career in iGaming

The Careers Convention is aimed at graduates from the University of Malta, MCAST and other private educational institutions. Partnerships have already been forged with student faculty organisations such as ICTSA, ELSA, ASCS, UESA, GHSL and others.

“It seemed fitting to introduce a careers convention this year to help meet the increasing demand for talent”, said SiGMA managing director Eman Pulis. SiGMA’s Dennis Dhyr Hansen said: “It is well known that recruitment remains one of the trickiest aspects of the gaming industry. This is where SiGMA can provide an excellent platform on the Maltese Islands.” James Cassar, Managing Partner at SiGMA’s associates, My event planner, said: “Through this year’s event we want to create a bridge between students and the betting company world, where great employment opportunities exist.”

The SiGMA organisers have lined up 100 speakers, 150 sponsors and exhibitors and 3,000 attendees this year. Its over-arching goal is to bring the entire gaming community together, from affiliates and operators to regulators and vendors and – this year – prospective employees.

Students interested in attending the convention can email reservations@sigma.com.mt to request their invitation, which includes access to the expo floor, attendance at the Human Capital and Performance conference, networking drinks and the closing party. Anyone wishing to attend the entire summit can register online to purchase their pass at https://maltaigamingsummit.com/. SiGMA takes place between 16 and 19 November 2016.
