MBR Pub­li­ca­tions teams up with Put­tinu Cares

MBR Pub­li­ca­tions Ltd has an­nounced that it will be team­ing up to help Put­tinu Care Can­cer Foun­da­tion in a fund-rais­ing cam­paign that will reach its cli­max dur­ing Malta’s Best in Busi­ness gala award evening at Castello dei Ba­roni, Wardija, on Fri­day, 25 Novem­ber.

Dr An­drew De­celis, on be­half of Put­tinu Cares, thanked MBR Pub­li­ca­tions Ltd for their gen­er­ous sup­port, say­ing: “We would like to thank you whole­heart­edly for the noble ges­ture on which your com­pany has em­barked on to as­sist for­mer and cur­rent can­cer pa­tients and their fam­i­lies, be­cause this event is ex­tremely pres­ti­gious and ex­haust­ing and we look to­wards lo­cal busi­nesses to help out in do­na­tions for our pa­tients.”

Martin Vella, Man­ag­ing Direc­tor of MBR Pub­li­ca­tions Ltd, ad­dress­ing the me­dia dur­ing a press con­fer­ence at The Palace Ho­tel, Sliema, said: “We ex­pect to have over 500 par­tic­i­pants this year, nom­i­nee com­pa­nies rep­re­sent­ing the pre-em­i­nent mod­els of our busi­ness com­mu­nity. Can­cer touches so many peo­ple in our com­mu­nity and pro­vid­ing Put­tinu Cares with a plat­form out of some­thing we have suc­cess­fully cre­ated and ex­panded over the past few years is a great way – even though it is not enough – to help fight this ter­ri­ble dis­ease, es­pe­cially for fam­i­lies who need to go abroad to pur­sue fur­ther treat­ment. I ap­peal to ev­ery­one to se­ri­ously con­sider this re­quest and let your fam­ily, friends, neigh­bours, your cus­tomers and your com­mu­nity know that you are join­ing them in the fight.

For­eign com­pa­nies have come along and in­ex­tri­ca­bly not enough screen­ing is be­ing done on pro­fes­sional fund-rais­ing level, that this gives rise to se­ri­ous sus­pi­cions about the end goal. Our busi­ness part­ners, col­leagues and cus­tomers are in­vited to be part of our com­mu­nity of lead­ing do­na­tors and fund-rais­ers ex­plor­ing new strate­gies for so­cial in­no­va­tion and com­mu­nity im­pact by giv­ing gen­uinely, giv­ing suit­ably and giv­ing cor­rectly. Our com­pany has been al­ways in­volved in phil­an­thropic ac­tiv­i­ties and we have sup­ported foun­da­tions in­volved in such ac­tiv­i­ties, so we all should con­trib­ute to this noble cause,” con­cluded Mr Vella.
