Man charged with trying to cause serious injury to his brother

A 24-year-old man from Qormi was yesterday charged with trying to seriously injure his brother during an argument in which knives were used.

Axel Grech, 24, from Ħandaq, pleaded not guilty to attempting to grievously injure Leon Grech, using a knife during the commissioning of a crime, threatening his brother and relapsing. The accused pleaded not guilty.

The two knives used during the argument were exhibited in court.

Magistrate Donatella Frendo Dimech granted bail against a deposit of €2,000 and a personal guarantee of €8,000.
