Five enterprises benefit from €4m in interest rate subsidies
Five enterprises benefited from nearly €4 million in interest rate subsidies, according to a parliamentary question answered by the Minister for the Economy, Investment and Small Businesses.
The question, which was put forward by MP Anthony Agius Decelis, also showed that in 2016 two companies benefited €280,000 so far.
When pressed about the discrepancies in amounts between the years by MP Censu Galea, the minister said that the amount subsidised in 2015 was an indication of a productive government allowing enterprises to grow and invest within the country, going as far to say it would have been better if the government subsidised “€10, €20, or €30 million”.
