V25+GZIT+vA3: The formula of excellence at Abraham’s Vini e Capricci
2016 is a special year at Abraham’s. It marks the 25th anniversary from the founding of Abraham’s Supplies Company Ltd and three years from the inauguration of its flagship gourmet outlet ‘Vini e Capricci’. During all these years , it has been driven by its quest for excellence both in the products that are imported and especially in those that are produced locally.
To celebrate this important anniversary, Abraham’s has prepared an outstanding programme of cultural events, which will include art exhibitions by renowned artists from Italy and Gozo. These art events are being curated by the international art curator and broker Valerio Ballotta and will bring together the art of the acclaimed Milanese artist Alfredo Rapetti Mogol and that of the Gozitan Austin Camilleri.
The exhibition V25+GZIT+vA3 by Alfredo Rapetti Mogol and Austin Camilleri will be inaugurated this evening at 7.30pm under the auspices of the Minister for Tourism Edward Zammit Lewis at Abraham’s Vini e Capricci, Xewkija, Gozo. While tomorrow the public may meet the artists who will be performing live from 10.30am onwards at the same venue. Alfredo Rapetti Mogol, was born in Milan, Italy, in 1961. His artistic formation was forged by the family environment that for generations have been involved in music and poetry. His art specialises in transforming calligraphy and forms of writing into paintings of extraordinary beauty. Austin Camilleri, born in Gozo in 1972, received his artistic formation at the University of Malta and at the Accademia Pietro Vannucci in Perugia. He has earned a reputation as a freelance visual artist working simultaneously and non-hierarchically in installation, painting, drawing, video and sculpture.
