Three in­jured in sep­a­rate ac­ci­dents

• A five-year-old boy was se­ri­ously in­jured when he was hit by a car in Qormi yes­ter­day morn­ing. The po­lice said the accident took place at around 8.25am in Triq Cor­rea, Qormi. The boy, who is from Qormi, was hit by a Dai­hatsu Sirion car that was be­ing driven by a 32-year-old woman from Żeb­buġ. He was taken to Mater Dei Hos­pi­tal and the po­lice were later in­formed that he had suf­fered se­ri­ous in­jury.

• A woman was griev­ously in­jured af­ter she was hit by a car in Tarx­ien Road, Paola, on Tues­day evening. The 84-year-old of Tarx­ien was hit by a car driven by a 36year-old woman, also of Tarx­ien. The el­derly woman was taken to hos­pi­tal for treat­ment.

• A 78-year-old man from Ra­bat is suf­fer­ing from griev­ous in­juries af­ter he was hit by a car. The accident oc­curred at around 8:30am yes­ter­day at the Salib area in Ra­bat. The man, who is from Ra­bat, was im­me­di­ately taken to Mater Dei hos­pi­tal for med­i­cal as­sis­tance where he was cer­ti­fied as suf­fer­ing from griev­ous in­juries. Ac­cord­ing to the po­lice, the man was hit by a car, Peu­geot, driven by a 28-year-old man from Sliema. Po­lice in­ves­ti­ga­tions in all three ac­ci­dents are on­go­ing.
