The latest developments of the Philips brand were explained to pharmacists and retailers by three Philips’ representatives, Andrea Morales, Rosangela Pizzi and Antonella Curcio who came over to Malta specifically to deliver presentations at Flamingo Showroom in Qormi and visit a number of pharmacies and outlets.

“In the personal care sector, Philips created products to meet four particular consumers’ needs – skin comfort, perfection, speed and practicality,” Mr Morales said. He explained the various advantages of the four Philips shavers, namely the Series 9000, 7000 and 5000 and also the Aqua Touch considered to shave 10 times better than the traditional blade.

Ms Curcio introduced the NewLumea Essential – BRI 861 IPL Hair Removal for women seeking a product to prevent hair growth on face and body which has a larger 3.2 cm2 window for rapid use and can be used on the face apart from various parts of the body, resulting in up to 75 per cent of the hairs removed after only four treatments.

Surrounded by a display of over 175 different Philips products, the representatives explained Philips’s healthy living mission was focused on improving people's lives by helping them to be healthier and enjoy life. One of the best ways to be healthy is to have healthier diets.

“For those with a busy lifestyle, Philips created products that give people efficient solutions for a healthier and tastier diet, with barely anything going to waste,” explained Ms Curcio. They demonstrated the pastamaker making all sorts of excellent tasting home-made pasta in just 10 minutes. Ms Pizzi said: “One only needs to pour the ingredients inside and the pasta maker does the selected pasta type for you on its own. It’s that simple.”

Philips’ micro juicer HR1894 stole the show for its small size – only 11cm wide – that can even fit in the smallest of kitchens and is easily cleanable. One can even add nuts, like almonds, or frozen fruit for a frozen smoothie. With an easily detachable design and rimless parts, this juicer can be quickly cleaned using only tap water.

“Nothing can be easier,” was Ms Pizzi‘s reply to the question: how does Philips’ soup maker work. “One just adds the ingredients and selects one of the four programmes. An excellent, healthy and homemade cream or soup is cooked in less than 25 minutes, while one is doing something else.”

“Usually, when it comes to buying personal care or kitchen equipment, these fall within two categories: the ones we give to others and the others we give ourselves. In our busy lives, Many times in our busy lives we are faced with some difficulty when deciding what gift to get. And this tends to get a bit more complex as Christmas approaches. With its stylish and versatile range of more than 175 products, Philips offers a great selection of options at an affordable price,” Mr Morales concluded.
