Ryanair cel­e­brates 10 years by an­nounc­ing of­fers and six new routes

Ryanair cel­e­brated its 10 year an­niver­sary in Malta by of­fer­ing seats at €19.99 for travel be­tween April and June 2017 to 14 ma­jor Euro­pean cities. The of­fer closes at mid­night on Fri­day, 18 Novem­ber.

At the cel­e­bra­tion, which was at­tended by Min­is­ter for Tourism Ed­ward Zam­mit Lewis, also saw the air­line an­nounce that it would in­tro­duce six new sum­mer routes - to Brus­sels Zaven­tem, Cata­nia, Nurem­berg, Toulouse, Va­len­cia and Vil­nius.

Ryanair’s chief com­mer­cial of­fi­cer David O’Brien also said that the air­line was look­ing to bring 2.1 mil­lion peo­ple to Malta by 2017. He also men­tioned that the com­pany would also be pur­chas­ing a new Boe­ing 737-800, val­ued at €104 mil­lion which will be reg­is­tered in Malta.

O’Brien then said the air­line would also be in­creas­ing the num­ber of routes ac­ces­si­ble from Malta up to 42 and that the num­ber of weekly flights would also in­crease, up to more than 140.
