San Andrea School is to hold its Christmas Village on Sunday, 11 December to inaugurate its brand new Multipurpose Hall. This state-of-the-art building will be a hub for sports activities, as well as a much-needed space for expressive arts.
The facilities will enhance the sports department’s activities through the practice of basketball, futsal, handball, badminton and volleyball, while offering the possibility to several sports associations to rent it for their specific use.
The Multipurpose Hall has also been fully equipped to handle drama productions, musical theatre performances, dance routines, live-music performances and mimes. The first artistic activity will be a Gala Night on 20 December with the participation of tenor Joseph Calleja accompanied by a choir made up of students from the school.
The San Andrea Christmas Village will be open to the public from 10am onwards on 11 December and will include a mass, the unveiling of a commemorative plaque, drama presentations, sports activities and several traders’ stalls selling items perfect for Christmas gifts. The school will also be celebrating the rich diversity of nationalities present at San Andrea School by having stalls prepared by the parents of students who hail from different countries all over the world with traditional decorations, music, sweets and toys.
