Japanese Landscape Competition/ Exhibition in Malta
Museum TAKESHITASEIKAKOJYO in collaboration with the Cavalieri Art Hotel will be inaugurating for the first time a Japanese Landscape Competition / Exhibition in the art galleries of the hotel in St. Julian’s, Malta.
This event will be inaugurated by President Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca on Friday, 20th January, at 6pm.
In all, one hundred and thirty eight photographs were selected from several hundreds, and sent to Malta from Japan, on the second week of December, to be judged at the Cavalieri Art Hotel.
The selection committee included Louis Agius, President of the Malta Photographic Society, Gabriella Mallia, Marketing Manager, Cavalieri Art Hotel, Tomoko Goto ( on behalf of Rin Terada, the Japanese organiser) and Joseph Barbara, (Maltese organiser).
This event is being organised to further deepen and strengthen the established relations between the two countries. The Grand Prize Winner is: KosukeOKUDA with his beautiful work “Meota-iwa”.
The prize includes 100,000 Yen (approx. €820), flight, Japan – Malta return, and accommodation at the Cavalieri Art Hotel.
The three runner ups for outstanding works are: Kei YAMANE, Shower”
Tetsuya TSURUMI, “Mitsukejima in the Starry Sky” Kimio OKUMURA, bito”.
Each will receive ticket, Japan - Malta “Autumn “Hana
a flight and return.

All 10 participants will receive a voucher for a hotel stay during the time of the exhibition.
The exhibition is open to the public from Saturday, 21th. January till Sunday, 12th February. de
