New premises for biggest Juve Supporters Club in the world opened
The new premises for Juventus Club Doc Malta Cuore Bianconero was officially opened on Wednesday evening at Marsa.
A large number of supporters and guests, including delegates from other local Supporters clubs, packed the large hall where the official ceremony was held.
In an emotional speech, president Omar Busuttil told the gathering that the day will remain memorable for each and every member of the club, especially those who had worked so hard to see it finished so that it could be opened officially.
He went on to tell his audience that it had all started five years ago in Attard where a group of 10 Juventus fans gathered and decided to start something. He added: “The number soon doubled and a place they found at Mriehel was converted into a clubhouse. After a few years, the club was eventually ratified by Juventus as a Club Doc.
“And last year we were absolutely pleased to hear from the Turin club’s director general Giuseppe Marotta that the Malta club was the world’s biggest Supporters Club of Juventus.”
Busuttil made it clear that there was absolutely no animosity between them and the other three local Juve clubs. “We all work hand in hand. After all, we all have the same team at heart,” he added.
He thanked all the sponsors and revealed that one of their forthcoming projects was to establish a travel agency within the club.
“This is the way forward. The club has made an investment of over 50,000 euros to see the premises finished. This is certainly our passion and we will be doing everything to be successful in our new home where everyone added.
Delegates from other local Supporters Clubs, among them the three other local Juve clubs – Vero Amore, Vecchia Signora and Gianluca Pezzotto of Gozo congratulated the Juve club.
