Gozitan side SK Victoria Wanderers wrote a golden chapter in their history yesterday as they became the first Gozitan club to reach the semi-finals of the FA Trophy.

Yesterday, they defeated Maltese Premier League side Pembroke Athleta 2-0 at the Gozo Stadium in their quarterfin­al match.

The Wanderers’ feat increases considerab­ly in significan­ce when one considers that the Gozitan club is only one place above the bottom club in the Gozitan first division.

The Wanderers had earlier eliminated St. Venera Lightnings, Melita, Mgarr United and another Premier League side, St.
