Beware – By their fruits you will recognise them (Matthew 7: 16)

Are grapes gathered from thorn bushes or figs from thistles? The answer is a big NO.

So how can I believe that the Nationalist Party has turned green, when while coming out against Żonqor Point, in the same breath it came out in favour of a racetrack which will be built in ODZ and takes 50 times more virgin land than the AUM is going to take at Żonqor? Words are cheap and actions speak louder than words.

How can I believe all this blabber about the FIAU investigating accounts in Panama when the same unit did not investigate how certain people from the previous administration had millions deposited and were uncovered in other leaks?

All is leaking for all to see my dearies. It does not make sense that this unit makes a random pick of people and audits their income when suspect people are popping here and there on all sides.

The FIAU should begin with these suspect incomes. Money is like energy; it must come from somewhere. That this administration gave an amnesty instead of investigating where the money came from points to a collusion of parties across the political spectrum.

So while supporting the talk against corruption and in favour of honesty, I would like to see the strengthening of checks and balances in Malta: Independent authorities and planning laws which leave no loopholes.
