Olympique Lyon take solid lead against Roma

●Genk trounce Gent in Belgian derby ●Gladbach earn good away draw at Schalke

Olympique Lyon registered a great comaback in the second half scoring three goals against Roma to take a 4-2 advantage at the Olimpico next week.

Rome were the better team in the first half, but Lyon forged ahead on eight minutes through Diakhaby.

However Salah and a Fazio header gave Roma a deserved lead by half time.

Two minutes into the second half Tolisso scored the equaliser and on 74 minutes substitute Fakir put Lyon ahead with a low shot.

In stoppage time Lacazette scored a beauty from the edge of the are to give Lyon a two-goal cushion for the return tie.

In the Belgian derby Genk are practicall­u through after a 5-2 away win to Gent.

Samata scored a brace for Genk with the other goals coming from Colley, Uronen and Malinovsky.

In another derby Borussia Monchengla­dbach obtained a good draw away to Schalke.

Monchengla­dbach took the lead through Hofmann on 15 minutes and Burgstalle­r obtained the equaliser for Schalke ten minutes later.

Celta obtained a late winner against Krasnodar with all goals in the second half.

Wass put Celta ahead on 50 minutes but five minutes later Krasnodar drew level with a Claesson goal.

On 90 minutes Celta scored the winner when Mallo passed towards Beauvue who fired home.

Manchester United preserved its unbeaten record in Russia but had to settle for 1-1 at Rostov in the first leg of their Europa League last-16 tie yesterday.

In another match Olympiacos and Besiktas figured in a 1-1 draw.

Esteban Cambiasso put Olympiacos in front on 36 minutes with Besiktas scoring the all important equaliser on 53 minutes through Aboubaker.
