Pieta obtained an easy victory over Zebbug Rangers after a solid display in a rather entertaining encounter. Pieta thus made it a double after beating Zebbug 2-0 in the first round.

Zebbug were a pale shadow of the team that did so well against Qormi in their last outing. Trebovac was again their best player and scored their temporary equaliser but Pieta quickly took the lead again and never looked back adding two furtehr goals in the second half.

Pieta forged ahead after two minutes when Gabriel Mensah scored a good goal after beating a couple of defenders. Pieta continued to attack and went close through Gabriel Mensah who was well served by Christian Degabriele.

On 32 minutes Zebbug drew level when Tomislav Trebovac scored with a good shot from the edge of the area. Just before the break Pieta were back in front when Christian Degabriele shot home following a freekick taken by Mifsud.

Two minutes into the second half Pieta made it three when Suda passed to the unmarked Cisse Madenba who first-timed past the helpless Azzopardi. The game was practically won and lost now even though Zebbug tried to get back in the game.

However Pieta were never in danger with Montfort rarely in action. Five minutes from time Pieta sealed the issue with a fourth goal when Gabriel Mensah was floored by goalkeeper Azzopardi and from the reultant penalty Christian Grech made no mistake.
