BOV cards ideal medium for long weekend ahead

-

As another long weekend approaches, and many individuals and families, plan a short break in the sister island of Gozo, Bank of Valletta encourages its customers to use their BOV cards to pay for any transactions.

The Bank noted with satisfaction that more customers are opting for cards to effect payments, rather than cash and cheques. It highlighted the benefits linked to the cards, primarily their versatility for all payment requirements, be they shopping, dining or travelling. When used in conjunction with the Bank’s 24x7 Services Package, one may also keep track of one’s balances and transactions immediately via mobile or internet banking.

The Bank is committed to continue investing in its card fleet, with a view to providing its customers with added value, such as through the BOV Cards Loyalty Programme, that automatically rewards premium cardholders with one BOV point for every 1 Euro spent. The BOV points may be redeemed against a suite of offers which range from cashback on flights to credit at retail outlets.

In addition, the Bank invested in ancillary services to safeguard its cardholders against fraud. These include random SMS alerts which are sent to the cardholders’ registered mobile numbers, as well as the BOV 3D Secure that safeguards cardholders when shopping online.

Should one require additional information about the Bank’s suite of electronic payments, one may contact BOV Customer Service Centre on 2131 2020 or visit www.bov.com.
