Zejtun drop points but still crowned champions

In an important match for the relegation zone, Gudja United and Mellieha shraed the spoils in a 1-1 draw at the Charles Abela Stadium. Charles Ikeanna gave Mellieha the lead after 55 minutes but Dylan Tanti equalised for Gudja on 77 minutes.

Mgarr United registered a comfortabl­e win when they easily beat relegated Ghaxaq by four goals to nil at the Charles Abela Stadium. The goals came from: J P Zammit 22’, Chris Saliba 42’, Gianluca Theuma 68’ and Jamie Micallef on 81’. St George’s gained a precious point against league leaders Zejtun Corinthian­s who had to postpone their championsh­ip party to later due to a goalless draw.

Due to Qrendi and San Gwann drawing 1-1 with goals by Dasser Sammut on 39 minutes and Abeeb Williams on 84 minutes, Zejtun were declared champions with a game to spare.

In the Friday night match, Siggiewi beat Marsaxlokk by four goals to nil at the Sirens Stadium. The goals came from a brace by Jason Camilleri on 31 and 63 minutes, the former from a penalty, Dylan Pirotta on 71 minutes and Chike Eze on 86 minutes.
