After the announcement that it will be a busy year for the ASA, in the next two weeks, the Aquatic Sports Association will be dealing with three competitions, two from the Waterpolo section and one from the swimming.

The Under 17 men’s team will be competing in the EU Nations in Brno, Czech Republic between the 14th and 16th of April. The team will be led by national coach Karl Izzo and will be looking to win another edition of the EU Nations, after winning the last three.

This edition will involve 12 teams and Malta will be in Group D, playing against Finland and Switzerland. Then the team will play in another group according to their final position in the first group.

The Under 17 women’s team will be heading to Prague also in Czech Republic between the 21st and 23rd April. ASA President Joe Caruana Curran described this tournament as an opportunity for another positive result, and said that this shows the importance that they are giving to the female sector.

Coach Anthony Farrugia mentioned the fact that the team will play five games in less than 50 hours, a difficult period, but Farrugia is optimistic that the hard work done by the ladies will result in good performances.
