The Cheese and Wine Festival in Ghaxaq

The Ghaxaq Local Council, with the collaboration of local Band Clubs and organisations is hosting the second edition of the Cheese and Wine Festival in Ghaxaq Square on Saturday 22 April 2017 from 6.30pm onwards.

Following last year great success, this year the Local council is ensuring that, with the collaboration of the organizers, we will offer a good quality activity to be able to reach the visitors’ expectations.

In this year’s edition, different cheese importers will be exhibiting more than 50 types of cheeses of which will be consumed in different types of food including cheese platters, pasta, pizzas, ravioli, cheesy gourmet burgers, aubergines & mushrooms, cheese cakes and other delicious deserts with cheese being the main ingredient.

With regard to wine, there will be local importers exhibiting over 30 labels of fine quality produce, where visitors will have the choice to purchase the desired wine by the glass or bottle. Wine glasses will be available to purchase in aid of local philanthropic organizations.

Performing on the main stage in Ghaxaq Square there will be a variety of singers, dancers, folklore dance schools and local bands. There will also be a kids ‘area that will be fully equipped with food for kids, entertainment and games. During the activity we will also have the participation of local and artisan stalls exhibited.

The Ghaxaq Local Council invites you to attend to this unique event for all the family where entertainment is guaranteed throughout the evening in a typical traditional maltese village as Ħal Għaxaq.
