Dark Tales of Fort St Angelo extended by another day

The animated tour, Dark Tales of Fort St Angelo, will be extended by another day on popular demand by the general public. The Dark Tales series organised by Heritage Malta are very popular and the success achieved in such events is confirmed by the huge interest.

This extra performanc­e of Dark Tales of Fort St Angelo will be held on Saturday 29 April between 19.30hrs and 22.00hrs. To ensure that visitors enjoy this eerie night at the Fort, only a limited number of tickets are available for this event. Participan­ts must be 16 years or over. Tickets can be bought online, http://shop.heritagema­lta.org, or from all Heritage Malta sites and museums for the price of €15 for adults and €12 for HM members/seniors/students.

For further details please call on 2295 4242. A talk by Dr Mark Agius will be held at din l-Art Helwa, 133, Melita Street, Valetta, tomorrow 20 April at 18.30. The talk will deal with the historic developmen­t of the devotion to Our Lady of Mount Carmel from its origins the Holy Land to its spread across the Mediterran­ean, Europe and Malta.

The talk shall end with a descriptio­n of the Confratern­ity’s Oratory in Theatre Street Valletta, which continues to be in constant use and with an appeal for help in the restaurati­on of the Oratory.

Dr. Mark Agius teaches in the Department of Psychiatry , University of Cambridge, and is a Research Associate at Clare College Cambridge. His other interests are the History of Valletta, the History of the Carmelite Order, and Clare College Choir. He is Rector of the Archconfra­ternity of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Valletta.
