- Henry Brincat Hibernians Stadium

The Bank of Valletta Premier League will come to an end on Saturday – barring any deciders – as the final round – the 33rd – is being played between today and Saturday.

The programme starts today with one match at the Hibernians Stadium.

Four matches are to be played tomorrow – two at the National Stadium and another two at the Hibernians Stadium.

The concluding match is to be played on Saturday at the National Stadium when Hibernians will be presented with the League trophy at the end of the match against rivals Tarxien Rainbows for celebrations to get started.

So far we know that Hibernians are the champions and that Balzan are sure of finishing second, thus also earning a berth in next season’s Europa League.

As to the third place, Valletta and Birkirkara have the same number of points – 59 – and tomorrow’s clashes will determine who will finish in that position.

Birkirkara will be playing against Floriana, while Valletta face Hamrun Spartans.

The most important clash of them all is the Mosta-Pembroke encounter which will determine who will be automatically relegated to next year’s first division.
