ASMK’s 7th autocross event tomorrow
ASMK will continue the ASMK Pasta Poiatti 2016/2017 championship tomorrow. During the programme the Autocross section will be competing in their seventh event of the season. The program begins at 1pm.
Meanwhile last Saturday ASMK organized the Autocross finals that were held on Sunday 9 April.
The results of the Standard Autocross Class final race registers a win from Johann Vella on his Opel Nova while Nicovich Chircop on Peugeot 206 followed in 2nd place. Third place finisher was Quinn Camilleri on his Peugeot 106.
The Autocross Class A final saw Gordon Johnson on his Opel Corsa dominating and registering another win during this season. Johnson was followed by Terence Azzopardi and Malcolm Borg both on Opel Corsa cars.
In the Autocross Class B final there was a good race from Jean Paul Grech on Peugeot 106 and he was followed by Noel Vella on a Ford Fiesta. Third place finisher was Matthew Borg on a Vauxhall Nova.
Meanwhile last Sunday ASMK continued its Pasta Poiatti Trials Championship. This fifth trials competition was held inside the ASMK Sports Complex at Ta’ Qali. Eight competitors divided into two classes participated in this event and these are the results.
In Class A where experienced competitors compete, Damon Bonello, riding a Gas Gas motorcycle, dominated the day’s results and winning ahead of Antonio Leonardi on another Gas Gas Trials motorcycle. Third place finisher was Rowen Bonello on a Beta motorcycle.
In Class B where the less experienced and beginners take part, the young Daniel Inguanez on his Beta Trials Bike was the winner. He was followed by Tony Curmi on another Beta. Third place finisher was Manuel Camilleri on a Gas Gas.
