Tottenham humiliate Leicester

-

Despite not having a particular ambition as they will finish the league in second place, Tottenham Hotspur produced a brilliant display as they defeated Leicester 6-1 in the King Power Stadium.

Tottenham opened the score after 25 minutes when Heung Min Son managed to beat the offside trap from a long ball by Mason, advanced entered the penalty are, and from the right crossed a low ball to Harry Kane who beat Kasper Schmeichel with a first-time shot on the run.

The Spurs doubled their lead eleven minutes later when this time it was Dele Alli who lobbed a short ball in the penalty area, where Heung Min Son was ready to slot past Schmeichel with another firsttime shot on his left corner.

Leicester reduced the margin just before the hour mark in a different action. Vardy received a ball in a dubious position, goalkeeper Hugo Lloris blocked partially, the ball finished in Ndidi‘s feet who passed to Ben Chilwell, with the youngster controlling the ball and scoring.

But Tottenham restored their two goal lead three minutes later, as from a cross from the right, Wanyama’s deflected header finished in the direction of Harry Kane who headed from dew metres away.

Tottenham killed the game twenty minutes from time, with a brilliant personal action by Heung Min Son.

Harry Kane managed to score his 25th goal of the league by scoring the fifth goal for Spurs two minutes from time, but he wasn’t finished as he made it 6-1 with a similar goal.
