Yamaha Gozo Motocross Championship finals
The Gozo Motorcross Association Championship has come to an end. The numerous crowd that attended the finals on Sunday enjoyed an amazing show of racing as riders continued to challenge each other in a competitive but friendly manner to the end.
Mario Cauchi was crowned champion of Class A and overall champion of the Yamaha Gozo Motocross Championship 2016/17. Cauchi started out the championship on a good note following the very close call he had during last year’s competition.
Diversely challenged along this vying journey, Cauchi held on tight to his position which ultimately rewarded him with the pinnacle of this exciting championship.
Keith Bugeja won the Class B championship. His progress was evident as he achieved one accomplishment after another in each race on his brand new Yamaha YZ 250. Keith will be promoted to Class A.
Class C also turned out to be an interesting competition as the result remained indecisive to the end. However Joseph Luke Gauci managed to upturn the outcome and was therefore crowned champion of this Class.
Steve Xuereb was awarded Best Rider 2016/17.
