-

The MTTA national senior championships came to a close with the mixed doubles competition.

For the Sharp Shot Academy players and head coach David Pace, it was yet another certificate endorsing the high standard of training which the organisation demands.

From a total of six national titles, Sharp Shot Academy players were able to achieve three titles from their home grown inhouse athletes.

The first title - the Men’s over 40s - was clinched by the academy’s head coach David Pace.

The following day, Sharp Shot athletes Jessica Pace and Amy Degaetano, for the second consecutive year, retained their title in the Ladies Doubles.

Furthermore, the pair, in the run up to the final, did not lose a single encounter.

Sunday 21 May was a long morning of Ladies singles competition.

Here a third title was secured by Jessica Pace. Throughout the tournament and including the grand final, Jessica succeeded in winning all her matches with a 4-0 straight result.

Her personal coach and trainer, David Pace, said this was Jessica’s 10th edition in which she claimed the championship title, nine of which were consecutive.

Pace explained that being her father also puts his coaching experience to the test due to multiple mixed emotions while Jessica is competing.

Jessica will representing Malta in San Marino at the XVII Games for European Small Nations. Together with Viktoria Lucenkova they will be doing their best to secure a place on the podium in the Ladies teams, Ladies doubles and Ladies singles events.

Sharp Shot Academy in the meantime continues with its development coaching programme for boys and girls from as young as seven years of age.
