Summer on the court for young people

-

Summer on the court for thousands of young people at the first international tennis tournament organized by Sports Events, FIT and Kinder+Sport.

Kinder+Sport Tennis Trophy is the first international tennis tournament for boys and girls aged 9 to 16, organized by Sports Events in collaboration with the Italian Tennis Federation (FIT) and Kinder+Sport.

A unique event that will touch 9 nations in 2017: Austria, Bulgaria, Germany, Italy, Israel, Luxembourg, Malta, Principality of Monaco and Hungary.

It is an exciting circuit with thousands of young participants, where the winners of each of the 20 tournaments will challenge each other in Italy during the International Master in Rome, from 25 to 30 August 2017.

The initiative is an idea by tennis pro Rita Grande, Italian former champion, in collaboration with Kinder+Sport Joy of moving, aimed at boosting active lifestyles and spreading this sport discipline amongst the new generations.

This event was born in Italy, which already counted 28 tournaments and 3,000 subscribers in its first edition in 2006, and has been growing steadily in time; the 11th edition in 2016 boasted 141 tournaments in 19 Italian regions and more than 18,000 subscribers.

For the first time this year, the tournament expands to the international circuit, in order to develop and spread with an even bigger focus the core values of the Kinder+Sport project, such as trust in oneself and in others, integration, friendship and respect.

The matches will be rather unique, as they will be played without umpires: the young players will have the possibility to enjoy themselves and give their very best while guided by a highly educational fair play code.

In the past years, finalists also had the chance to meet several world tennis icons such as Francesca Schiavone, Flavia Pennetta, Sara Errani, Jo Wilfried Tsonga, Fabio Fognini, Simone Bolelli, Corrado Barazzutti and Nicola Pietrangeli.
