Feta and pea pasta

500g dried large shell pasta 1/4 cup olive oil 1 medium red onion, finely diced 2 gar­lic cloves, finely chopped 75g torn sour­dough bread 1/2 cup frozen peas Pinch ground nut­meg 100g Dan­ish feta cheese 2 tea­spoons finely grated lemon rind 1/3 cup small fresh basil leaves

Di­rec­tions

1. Cook pasta in a saucepan of boil­ing, salted wa­ter, fol­low­ing packet di­rec­tions, un­til ten­der. Drain. 2. Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add onion and gar­lic. Cook for 3 min­utes or un­til onion has soft­ened. Add bread. Cook, toss­ing, for 3 min­utes or un­til bread starts to turn golden. Add peas. Cook, toss­ing, for 2 min­utes or un­til heated through. 3. Add pasta to pan with nut­meg, feta and lemon rind. Cook, toss­ing, for 1 to 2 min­utes or un­til warmed through. Add basil. Sea­son with pep­per. Toss to com­bine. Serve.
