San Giljan set to claim 4th and final honour

-

Champions San Giljan TUM Invest are expected to finish the season on a top note this evening when they face Sliema Frank Salt Real Estate in the final of the Bank of Valletta KO.

The champions have gone through a highly memorable season during which they not only won the previous three honours, but have also remained unbeaten, winning all the matches they have played so far.,

They started the season by winning the President’s Cup, they went on to win the Winter League, then were crowned champions and now they are expected to beat Sliema to add the KO Cup to their list of honours for this season.

It is a veritable clean sweep in a season that they made their own, mostly thanks to the presence of Montenegrin world class player Alexandar Ivovic, among their ranks.

On the other hand, Sliema have had a lacklustre season and few would give them a chance to topple the champions, especially in their current form.

But one expects the Blues to rise to the occasion and try to give the Saints a good run for their money.

Also today, Marsaxlokk Fischer will be facing Birzebbuga in the final of the first division KO.
