Sirens and San Gwann produced an entertaini­ng affair sharing four goals in the process for a fair result.

Sirens took the lead after only six minutes when Audgustine Obaje dribbled a couple of defenders before scoring a good goal. Half way through the first half Sirens lost their goalkeeper who had to be substitute­d.

On 34 minutes Obaje missed a great chance for Sirens to double the score and near the end of the first half San Gwann pressed for the equaliser putting the Sirens defence under pressure.

San Gwann were more determined in the second half and they drew level on 64 minutes with a Kyle Tanti effort. San Gwann continued to attack and went close on 70 minutes with an Arteta Suarez effort going inches wide.

But a minute later Sirens were back in front when Giovanni Galea scored with a header from a Yanis Tonna corner. Nine minutes from time Giovanni Galea went close to a third goal with his shot going inches wide and three minutes later San Gwann were awarded a penalty for a Ryan Previ handling infringeme­nt and from the penalty spot Mario Arteta Suarez made no mistake.
