Gregoritsch scores 2 as Augsburg wins 3-0 at Werder Bremen

Austria forward Michael Gregoritsch scored twice for midtable Augsburg in a 3-0 win away to struggling Werder Bermen in the Bundesliga on Sunday.

Gregoritsch scored in each half, either side of a penalty from Iceland striker Alfred Finnbogason in first-half stoppage time.

Gregoritsch has been in good form this season and improved his tally to five in nine league games. The defeat leaves Bremen mired in the relegation trouble in 19th place with five points from 10 games. Augsburg is ninth with 15 points.

Later Sunday, Stuttgart was at home to Freiburg, with both sides hovering above the relegation zone.

In the second atch of the eveing yesterday, Stuttgart beat Freiburg 3-0, thanks to goals by Ginczek on 38 minutes, Pavard four minutes into the first half’s injury time and Terodde on 82 minutes.

Bayern Munich draw Borussia Dortmund in DFB Cup last 16

German, and indeed world football, will be treated to an extra Klassiker contest in 2017 after Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund were drawn together in the last 16 of the DFB Cup. The Bundesliga juggernauts will face off at the Allianz Arena on either the 19th or 20th of December, with the date to be confirmed henceforth.

Dortmund are athe defending champions having beaten Eintracht Frankfurt 2-1 in May to win the competition for the fourth time in their history.
