Holders Floriana to meet Naxxar Lions in the third round
FA Trophy holders Floriana picked up fellow Premier tier side Naxxar Lions in the third round of knockout competition. The draws for the Malta FA Trophy 3rd and 4th rounds were made yesterday morning at the Malta FA’s VIP Lounge,
Other interesting pairings between Premier Division sides were those of actual BOV Premier League leaders Valletta who will meet Senglea Athletic, St. Andrews will come face to face with Sliema Wanderers while Gzira United will have to battle it out with Hamrun Spartans.
Champions Hibernians were drawn against Gozo’s Victoria Hotspurs at this stage of the competition. All 3rd round matches will be played between Friday 1 and Sunday 3 December.
The 4th round draws were also at stake during the same event. These matches will be played on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 January 2018.
