Bozidar Dimitrov wins Skeet Selection

Bozidar Dimitrov won The MSSF Skeet Selection organised the past weekend at the Bidnija shooting ranges.

This event was held over 125 clays Skeet with the top six shooters to qualify for the final stages.

During the qualification rounds Marlon Attard managed an impressive score of 120/125 that is an MQS for the Commonwealth Games.

Bozidar Dimitrov placed 1st with 113/125 - 17-25-33-40-48. Second was Joe Muscat with 112/125 - 17-26-33-39-46 and third Darren Vella with 116/125 - 16-25-31-38.

Marlon Attard placed 4th with 120/125 - 14-22-30. Jason Sciberras was 5th with 106/125 - 15-19 while Marcello Attard placed 6th with 112/125 - 11.

San Gwann Mosta 2 1

San Ġwann won a keenly-contested game by two spot kicks and are now in second place on 21 points from 11 games while Mosta lie in the bottom of the standings on only 6 points from same number of games.

From the early minutes of the game San Ġwann went on the offensive.

Matthew Xuereb served Byron Madu in the area and Mosta keeper Dylan Ciappara foiled him with a timely sortie.

In a similar action between the same players Madu missed the bar by inches from close range. After a flag kick by Jean P Attard, Oen Spiteri headed slightly over the bar from inside the area.

In the 28th minute Mosta were awarded a penalty when after a cross from the left by Matteo Vella a San Ġwann defender handled the ball in the area.
