George Mifsud wins Queens Garage Trap trophy

George Mifsud won the Queens Garage Trap Trophy at the Qormi Clay Shooting Club.

This event was organised on three qualification rounds of 25 clay targets each plus the final stages.

The six finalists in the Bib number order according to their qualification scores were;

Angelo Ciappara 68/75, Michael Grech 66/75, Rudolph Zammit 64/75, Frank Scorfna 63/75, George Mifsud 63/75 and Justin Borg 60/75

Brian Galea and coach Francis Bugeja will be travelling to Mexico today to compete at the ISSF World Cup Shotgun, Guadalajara, a Trap event, which will be held between 2 and 12 March.

The MSSF Shotgun Trap programme will continue next Sunday at the Southern Shooting Club with the E.A.R. Trophy.

Bozidar Dimitrov wins Wenzu Vella Skeet shoot

Bozidar Dimitrov won The Wenzu Vella Skeet Selection shoot organised the past weekend by The Malta Shooting Sport Federation at Bidnija.

This event was held over 125 clays skeet with the top six to qualify for the final stages.

During this event, Jason Sciberras, Joe Muscat and Bozidar Dimitrov managed a perfect straight of 25/25 during the qualification rounds.

Dimitrov placed 1st 114/125 - 18-26-24-42-50.

Marcello Attard placed 2nd with 114/125 - 15-23-30-33-48.

Marlon Attard was 3rd with 112/125 - 16-22-32-39 followed by Darren Vella with 114/125 - 1321-30.

Jason Sciberras ended 5th with 113/125 - 13-19 while Paul Sant placed 6th with 102/125 - 12.
