Champions Mosta beaten again, now trying to avoid relegation

-

In the MAPFRE /MSV Life Masters League, Wardija won an interesting game against Mosta Shaggy’s 6-5 to keep challenging for the title.

Champions Mosta lost again and it is really the big surprise of the season that so far they won only one game and are in great trouble trying to avoid relegation.

They surprised also in the game itself when they were playing well in the first half taking a 4-2 lead.

But they were a different team in the second half and allowed Wardija to fight back inspired by the man of the match Michael Borg Olivier who scored a hattrick.

For Wardija, these were three important points to keep themselves with the top three.

In an other game from the same championship, Rabat, with Chris Muscat again leaving his mark being the best player of the game, beat the stiff challenge of B’Kara.

With this win, Rabat made a further step forward to avoid relegation. Not so good for B’Kara who are still in the danger of being relegated. Up to the end of the first half Rabat had a 3-1 lead. However after the change of ends B’Kara fought back but Rabat were still there and managed to control in the defence to win these three important points.

There was only one game from CISK MASTERS Division I with JIVAL winning against Zurrieq Wolves 6-2.

Zurrieq Wolves had no luck at all, they not only lost the game but were unfortunate to have some players injured and could not keep the pace with their opponents.

With this win Jival are still with a chance of fighting for promotion.
