Valletta United Water Polo club prepare for upcoming Winter League

Valletta United Water Polo club continued with it’s work during the winter months.

The Club participat­ed in the Enemed Cup a competitio­n which was organised during the months of December and January, with Valletta obtaining encouragin­g results.

The team is under the guidance of coach Bogdan Rath which is preparing for the upcoming Winter League which is scheduled to start on the 16th of March, with the opening game being Valletta vs Neptunes.

The club continued working to strengthen the squad with a number of players joining during the past the past months.

The first player to join the squad was youngster Keith Galea from San Giljan.

Galea was on loan to Valletta last season and has now put pen to paper to a 4 year contract with Valletta, another player who was on loan for the past 2 season and has now signed a 4 year deal is 21 year old Aleandero Mifsud from Sliema.

Another important signing for Valletta is experience­d player Timmy Agius from Neptunes who also signed a 4 year contract.

Another youngster signed by Valletta is 20 year old Michele Mifsud from Sliema who has agreed to a 4 year deal.

Valletta signed youngsters Luke Gialanze from Marsaxlokk and Nicholas Farrugia from Neptunes both on a 2 year loan deal.

David Saliba was also signed on loan from Sliema. With these Valletta have also signed experience­d goalkeeper Ruben Bonnici.

The club wishes these players a great and succesful experience with Valletta United.
