BOV talks banking to Giovanni Curmi Students

During a recent initiative, Bank of Valletta representative Silvio Cassar discussed banking options with students attending Giovanni Curmi Higher Secondary.

“Moving on to post-secondary education is a significant milestone. It brings with it a number of other important milestones, all revolving around the achievement of greater independence,” said Silvio Cassar. Greater independence by default means greater responsibility, and it is often at this junction in life that one actually starts banking in person. “This is the time when one opens the first account, often simply to have the stipend deposited. Yet, one cannot underestimate the importance of budgeting and managing the cashflow at this early stage,” explained Mr Cassar.

In today’s world, where banking has grown more dynamic and complex, Bank of Valletta considers it an integral part of its corporate responsibility to invest in financial education of its market.
