Recently launched Maltese aviation company awarded Guernsey validation

-

Following the recent launch of its operation in Malta, Bravo Aircraft Technical Services Limited (BATS) announced that it has received AMO validation for the airline register Guernsey. In practice, this means that the company’s maintenance personnel may now formally sign for maintenance of ‘2-Reg’ aircraft.

BATS Ltd is the only independent EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency) Part 145 Line Maintenance facility for commercial aircraft to hold Maltese approval by Transport Malta’s Civil Aviation Directorate. The EASA certification is the European standard for the approval of aircraft and its components registered in European Union member states

‘2-REG’ is the official aircraft register launched by Guernsey in 2013. The register has been established to provide a customer focused service for the registration of aircraft involved in business, commercial and non-commercial flying activities worldwide. The safety standards that the register applies are on a par with the best in the world with the register accepting aircraft based on European (EASA), US (FAA) or Canadian (Transport Canada) certification standards. Crew licensing and approval of maintenance organisations and certifying staff are performed on a validation basis.

Fiona Healy, Head of Marketing and Business Strategy at BATS said that the intention of BATS is to offer a one stop airworithness and aircraft maintenance service to the industry.

“This is evidenced through the strength of our team at all levels, which guarantees efficacy, low turnaround time, thus supporting maximum aircraft utilisation. The achievement of this certification strengthens our position as we can carry out maintenance work up to A- Check, on aircraft registered on the 2-Reg registry, apart from the 9-H certification which was granted by the Maltese Civil Aviation Directorate last month.”

Soon after its inauguration, representatives of BATS were present at the Dublin Aviation Summit, where the company had the opportunity to present its offering to the aviation world at one of the largest MRO events in Europe.
