MCAST launches new prospectus and inaugurates its EXPO 2018
MCAST yesterday launched its prospectus for 2018-2019 for fulltime courses starting in October. The MCAST EXPO was also inaugurated yesterday and is being held up until Saturday at the Students’ House, MCAST Main Campus, in Paola.
The new prospectus contains detailed information about MCAST’s full-time courses offered at MCAST’s Foundation, Technical and University Colleges ranging from introductory certificate courses, degree programmes to Master’s programmes.
Prospective students, particularly young individuals who have just completed secondary (Form 5) or post-secondary (Sixth Form) education, are invited to collect their copy of the 2018/2019 Full-Time Courses Prospectus and the Application Form while visiting the MCAST EXPO.
After the MCAST EXPO, the Prospectus and the Application Form will also be available from the MCAST Main Campus in Paola, from the MCAST institutes in Mosta, Naxxar, Qormi and Kalkara, from the MCAST Gozo Campus in Ghajnsielem and from all local council offices.
The College will also be launching the Interactive Prospectus, a dynamic tool to help current and prospective students explore the College’s full-time courses starting in October.
The Interactive Prospectus is based on the 2018/19 MCAST Full-Time Courses Prospectus and also includes additional information about each course, as well as various interactive features. Prospective students will be able to go through the list of courses and compare their entry requirements, descriptions, units as well as the learning outcomes and career opportunities on offer. experience different career paths in several industrial sectors. The College’s student support staff as well as MCAST lecturers will be available to provide career guidance to prospective students and answer any queries about MCAST’s courses. For the first time the Institute of Applied Science will be providing students with a tour of the premises as well as the opportunity to engage in different science experiments within its labs.
Students’ end-of-year projects will be on display throughout the event together with a display of teaching equipment and resources.
The opening times are: Thursday 5 July and Friday 6 July from 10am to 1pm and between 4pm and 8pm, and on Saturday 7 July from 10am to 1pm.
