MAPFRE MSV Life gives Puttinu Cares Foundation a helping hand

-

MAPFRE MSV Life recently presented a donation in support of the projects currently being undertaken by the Puttinu Cares Foundation.

The donation was presented by Norman Mifsud, Chief Officer HR & Corporate Services at MAPFRE MSV Life to Angele Cuschieri, Vice Chairperson of the Puttinu Cares Foundation, during a visit to the Rainbow Ward at the Sir Anthony Mamo Oncology Centre.

Norman Mifsud said that MAPFRE MSV Life, through its donation, wanted to acknowledge and encourage the invaluable work that the Puttinu Cares Foundation undertakes in its mission to offer a holistic approach of care for families with children suffering from cancer. He said that MAPFRE MSV Life, by presenting this donation, also wanted to be supportive of the ambitious project of the Puttinu Cares Foundation whereby it is seeking to build 30 apartments in central London to make available to the families of patients receiving treatment in the UK.

Thanking MAPFRE MSV Life for its donation, Angele Cuschieri highlighted the importance of and the need for the new apartments in central London since these will enable the Foundation to cater for the increasing support requirements that continue to increase over time. Whilst in the past only 20 patients used to travel to UK for treatment per month, this number has increased to between 70 and 90 patients who presently are receiving treatment in the UK every month.
