“In an age when moving from one employer to another is becoming the trend, it is a matter of pride to note the long-term commitment of our people. Their years of dedication and hard work bears testament to the fact that the Bank offers a meaningful experience,” said BOV Chairman, Deo Scerri. “Together we have witnessed the Bank evolve into a full-fledged financial services organisation, offering tailored financial services, whilst geared towards responsible and sustainable growth.” Mr Scerri highlighted several milestones where the Bank introduced important first on the local market, such as the installation of the first ATM network across Malta and Gozo, and more recently mobile banking and contactless cards.
“We are focused to be the Bank of choice for our customers, and take pride in noting that whole families choose Bank of Valletta as their financial partner of choice from one generation to the next,” he said. “Likewise, we are investing in our employees to ensure that they are well-equipped to meet the onerous requirements of our regulatory environment, whilst developing our people’s career prospects. Concurrently we are recruiting skilled employees in specialized areas, which are becoming increasingly more critical to our sector.”
Mr Scerri proceeded to thank the employees who attended the commemorative event to mark these significant anniversaries.
