-

C&C Express Ltd has been awarded the full Authorised Economic Operator (AEOF) Certification by Malta Customs.

“To date sixteen companies in Malta have AEO status but only eleven have AEOF, considered as the top status and the one that carries the most weight for customs,” states Diana Cassar, Managing Director of C&C Express Ltd.

The company achieving the AEOF status means that it would have achieved the very highest levels in compliance, it operates the best system of managing commercial and transport records to ensure appropriate customs controls, holds proven financial solvency and operates the most stringent security and safety standards.

“Adhering to the highest operative and administrative standards has always been one of the most important principles in our business. It is our mission to deliver the safest and most professional service to our customers and achieving the AEOF status was another sound step in this direction,” added Diana Cassar.

The AEOF Certification was presented to Diana Cassar by Joseph Chetcuti, Director General at Customs. Also present were Francis Callus, Inspector of Customs and AEO Contact Point, John Azzopardi, QA Manager at C&C Express and Paul Bonello, Advisor Customs Procedures & AEO Programme.

The AEO certification, which is an internationally recognised accreditation throughout the EU and beyond, is granted to operators involved in the international supply chain namely freight forwarders, customs brokers, carriers, ports and terminal operators, as well as manufacturers, importers and exporters. AEO status remains continuously monitored and is periodically reassessed to ensure continuous compliance with its strict criteria.
