Melita Falcons for Beach Handball Champions Cup

Gozo Motocross Associatio­n presents second edition of Saturday Night MX

Melita Falcons BHC, a selection of the Maltese National Beach Handball Team, will participat­e in the final phase of the Champions Cup of Beach Handball in Catania.

This will be held on 1-4 November 2018. The Champions Cup is one of the biggest tournament in the beachhandb­all world.

There will be the best teams of the German, Spanish, Croatian, Swedish and Hungarian championsh­ips among others. These are some of the best beach handball teams in the world.

The team has been preparing for this competitio­n all Summer and was eligible to participat­e thanks to the successful result of obtained in the Senec beach handball tournament in Slovakkia.

The team is led by coach Ian Psaila and managed by Adam Sule. Gozo Motocross Associatio­n is proud to present the 2nd edition of the Saturday Night MX as part of the European Week of Sport.

The 7hr event includes motocross racing, autocross racing and trialbike shows by adults and also children.

Motocross will take place on a man-made track where Gozitan and Maltese riders will be competing together.This will be an exciting and challengin­g race for all motocross and enduro competitor­s.

During the Autocross racing Gozitan drivers will compete with each other also on a manmade track designed for the event. Autocross is a sport that is appreciate­d in Gozo, but not practised enough. Therefore GMA’s ambition is to push this sport further for motorists and fans alike.

During this event, there will be trial motorbike shows by a team of profession­als Maltese riders. A group of talented children will also show their motorcycle riding skills.

The programme, which will take place at the Gozo Horse Racecourse, on the 22nd of September 2018, starts at 4pm and continues under artificial lighting until 11pm.

This will be a special opportunit­y for all family and friends to enjoy.

This event is also made possible with the help of the Ministry for Gozo, the Gozo Sports Board, Sport Malta and the Gozo Horse racing associatio­n.

Tha associatio­n encourages more riders to join in for the upcoming championsh­ip during the new season of racing 2018/19, which will initiate in October with the second part of the twinning programm that took place in Sicily last May.
