Massive wins for Luxol and Valletta

Luxol and Valletta continued to show off their supremacy in the domestic futsal league, both teams coming out with massive wins.

Luxol St Andrews made their third succesful match, when they easily won 17-0 against Swieqi United U21. Luxol’s score sheet was made of hat-tricks by Celino Alves and Carl Azzopardi, braces for George Frendo, Maicon Silva and Zvezdan Vukovic together with a goal apiece for Mark Zammit, Aidan Micallef, Andy Mangion, Emil Andrei Raducu and Nicola Delre.

Valletta FC Futsal who has a match in arrears due to their internatio­nal commitment­s, sealed their second consecutiv­e win cruising 15-0 over Pietà Hotspurs Futsal. The Lillywhite­s found the net through hat-tricks by Jovica Milijic and Gia Nikvasvili, braces for Melvin Borg, Camilo Andres Gomez Vanegas and Mohamed Elamari together with a goal apiece for Dylan Musu, Shawn Vella and Denis Di Maio.

In the meantime, Birkirkara FC Futsal had their first three points, winning 7-4 against the University of Malta Students Futsal Team.

Swieqi United also made them three out of three when they came from behind and won 5-3 againstTar­xien Rainbows Futsal.

Finally came the first win for UM Futsal Academy with the end result of 3-2 against Luxol U19.

Next week the futsal league will have a break as on Monday the Futsal National Team starts training for two friendly matches scheduled on Friday and Saturday against Northern Ireland. Both matches will be played at the National Sport School Pavillion and kick of at 18:30.
