Young artist exhibits in Zabbar
Zabbar Sanctuary Museum will be hosting an exhibition by the artist Antonio Mifsud from today till 25th November 2018. For his exhibition entitled Autumn Hues, the artist is presenting a series of paintings. Each piece of work represents more than one possible way of interpreting the subject. Academic artistic traditions are revived in Mifsud’s compositions through the use of different media, powerful compositions and traditional techniques. This collection of paintings will be inaugurated by Dr. Gorg Mallia, academic, author and artist.
Antonio Mifsud was born in 1977, received his education at the Archbishop’s Seminary and at the University of Malta. His first art mentor was Dr.Gorg Mallia and later studied privately under the renowned sculptor Chev. Alfred Camilleri Cauchi, O.R.C.B. Works by Mifsud are found in local churches and public places. Abroad his works can be found particularly in Australia, Canada, Egypt and the UK. Antonio Mifsud exhibited his sculptures and paintings in various national and international exhibitions. He was awarded 2nd prize in the sculpture section when he represented Malta in the 6th Edition of the Editorial Project on Sacred Art which was held in the European Parliament in Brussels, Belgium. Antonio Mifsud has organised four solo exhibitions to date.
AUTUMN HUES is open daily to the public from today till 25th November 2018 between 9 am and noon.
