‘Joseph Muscat is not telling the truth’ Adrian Delia

-

Prime Minister Joseph Muscat is not saying the truth in anything he says related to 17 Black, PN Leader Adrian Delia said in a press conference yesterday evening.

Giving what he called a summary of what the Prime Minister had said since news broke on Monday that a magisterial inquiry into 17 Black had been opened, Delia said that Muscat had not said the truth at every turn.

On the fact that Muscat said that he is waiting for the conclusions of an inquiry to take a decision on Keith Schembri and Konrad Mizzi, Delia said that but this is not credible as he is stopping one inquiry with his own appeals, and he is saying that the other is on a company and not on an individual.

Noting Muscat’s words that the investigation underway is on a company and not an individual, Delia said that this could not be the case, and questioned how, if he did not know more about the inquiry, Muscat could know that Keith Schembri was not under investigation.

Delia also noted how the Prime Minister is saying that he sees no connection between 17 Black, Keith Schembri and Konrad Mizzi, and continued by saying that Muscat was saying this when it is a fact that both Schembri’s and Mizzi’s Panama companies were to receive €150,000 a month from this 17 Black.

The opposition leader noted how in a discussion programme last year, Muscat had said that Keith Schembri would resign if he was under investigation; and yet, Delia said, Schembri now still has not resigned.

Delia said that Joseph Muscat had promised loyalty to the Maltese people and constitution, but that now he is only looking out for the interest of one person; Keith Schembri.

Delia concluded that Joseph Muscat is taking the Maltese people for a ride but that now, nobody believes him anymore.
