Dingli still unbeaten

Dingli Desana remained unbeaten, when in their last game they were too superior against Rabat winning 7-1 and if they took the chances they created they could have doubled the score.

Wih this win they consolidat­ed their first palce in the standings. If they beat Marsa White Stars they will be nine points clear. Simon Shead was again on target scoring three and is leading the goal scorers list.

In the CISK Masters Division One, the Mosta Shaggy team is well on its way to return to the Premier Division.

However, in their last game against Zurrieq Wolves they did not have it their way. They had to go all out to recover from being down 4-1 before the break.

They had to produce all their tricks in the second half to remain unbeaten. Their star player was Steve Aquilina who scored two and was deniedon other occasions. Zurrieq had Alistair Camilleri T being the most dangerous. As a team, for their effort in the first half Zurrieq at leastdeser­ved a draw,

Targa Gap in another interestin­g game, had to work hard before they managed to beat Naxxar 6-4 and go second in the standings.

Naxxar were leading2-1 in the first half, but in the second thirty minutes Targa Gap inspired by the excellent play of Kurt Coleiro who scored four they recovered and went on to win the game and get another three important points.

Tal-Qroqq returned to winning ways when they beat Zurrieq Wolves 7-4 to reach third spot in the standings with Targa Gap. They lead at half time 4-2 and scored another three in the next half an hour.

It was a game of lost chances and some excellent saves by both goalkeeper­s. For Tal-Qroqq Carl Leonardi, Robert Perkins, and Jeffrey Fenech scored two each and showed good moves between them. For Zurrieq, Alistair Camilleri was not at his best as usual andfailed to score.
